Cinnamon in the ancient times was more valuable than gold, unbelievable I know. These days it is famous for cooking great tasting meals with an undeniably enchanting aroma and flavor, used in both sweet and savory foods. How is it of benefit to our health?
Cinnamon has antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. These prevent food spoilage. Cinnamon can also be used for treatment of common cold to lung problems. Denise Baron, a wellness educator explains that it can help with all sorts of lung congestion issues. “ It helps clear up mucus and encourages circulation,” says Baron.
Carina Parikh, a nutritionist, says that “systematic inflammation is a prominent problem that has led to the rise in cronic diseases.” So by adding cinnamon to a regular diet it reduces the systematic inflammation significantly. This means that consumption of cinnamon can help treat certain types of pain and headaches.
