Fitness Feature of the Month: Prinses Susan
Founder of Aroeka Health and fitness studio, Prinses Susan Fourie is everybody’s go-to girl when it comes to health and fitness. GL sits down with her to chat about life in the studio, summer tips and achieving your goals next…
It’s clear that health and fitness were Prinses Susan’s passion from the start as she is currently a multiple title holder in the IBFF. She received her Springbok colors for the 400m hurdles at the early age of 16 and at 20 she joined the fitness industry and has never looked back.
Her love for what she does can be seen in the amount of planning and detail that goes into the building of each training program for her clients. Prinses Susan custom creates each training program and helps her clients on their journey to achieving their goals.
She believes being in good shape and having a healthy fitness routine should be a long-term lifestyle rather than consisting of a short-term diet. She believes that summer bodies are made in winter and her knowledge and insight is what drives her clients to achieve more and live their life to the full.
Once the client has established that a summer body is not an overnight change then the next step is having Prinses Susan work out the perfect dietary plan accompanied with the right supplement intake and fitness routine.
The right dietary plan and supplements will help you lose the unwanted pounds but in order to have your dream body and to be fit and healthy, some exercises need to be done says the personal trainer. Prinses Susan hosts up to 9 training classes a day at her gym to make sure every client gets the right amount of exercise. She also incorporates some of her favorite activities such as burpees and rope skipping into her regimes for added fun. With daily burpees it exercises five muscle groups at once and daily rope skipping assists with cardio making your fitness results within an arm’s reach.
One thing Prinses Susan feels most passionate about is helping every person to achieve their dreams and believes it all begins with a goal. She believes it drives you to improve each day.
For Prinses Susan she has two goals of her own. The first includes her dream to be standing on stage in the 2017 International Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation World Championship with the second being breaking another Guinness world record. This would add to her previous record such as most skips in minute wearing high heels.
A fitness warrior like Prinses Susan will always be ready to take on whatever obstacle may come her way, so health and fitness world be ready for here as here she comes…
