Khuphuka Nezakho: Here’s Who Won In 2018.
The 2018 Khuphuka Nezakho and Royal Traditional Music Awards.’ by Vees Royalty Org (Lungelo Vilane) took place on Saturday November 03, at Curries Fountain stadium and the first performance kicked off at 15:30 p.m.
Ngizwe Mchunu and Beekay Mchunu former Ukhozi FM, Utalagu presenters graced the event and thrilled audiences with their MCing experience.
Despite the faulty with the power generator during award ceremony, people flocked the venue in huge numbers. However, the problem was soon fixed and people enjoyed the show.
EzeBhova delivered a great performance, the audience kept on screaming and demanding them to sing 6-6 song, which is one of their most popular songs. Jaiva Zimnike set the stage on fire featuring Ezebhova and Mgqumeni’s son. Igcokama Elisha performed the controversial song “zajika izinto” for the first time and crowd went crazy.
As usual Khuzani Mpungose was the night’s biggest winner, taking home Best Maskandi award, including R100 000 for having the largest number of followers.
The late Mjikijelwa Ngubane, popularly known as Ichalaha like Shafuza was honoured during the ceremony and his followers were the second biggest. Amageza Amahle came number 3,whilst DSD sat on fourth position, Imfez’emnyama on fifth position.
