Khuzani the king of Maskandi helps Dumakahle
There is a Chinese saying that goes: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.” For centuries, the greatest thinkers have suggested the same thing: Happiness is found in helping others.
Khuzani believes in helping other artist to climb the ladder of fame, he believes in mentoring young unknown talent to reach their goals.
Award-winning maskandi artist Mpilo Seluleko Nkosi, known as Dumakahle, announced his signing to Khuzani Mpungose’s production company.
The Vryheid-born artist has also released one of his first album with Indlamleze Production Company. The album, titled 21 QUESTION has already hit high rotation on both local and national radio stations, social media went craze on Tuesday night after Dumakahle shared music from his new album for the first time.
Dumakahle’s initial sound was influenced by Ushameni, a group they created at school. He recorded a demo whilst at school but slowed the pace down until he completed his studies. After moving to Johannesburg in 2014 he then released his first album with the help of Mbongeleni Zulu.
In 2016 he released his second album titled Umhayi Wenkondlo, which was followed by Izwe libi in 2017.
In this album 21 Questions, Dumakahle gets you thinking about your love life and the unkept promises in relationships. His music is honest and well-packaged to make you sing along while you ponder the subjects he touches on. Dumakahle is grateful to Phathaphatha, Maqhude and other band members, he emphasized the respect and love they show when they do their work.
