Vth Season’s newest signee, Eastern Cape born, Nelson Mandela University (NMU) accounting student, Ami Faku (pronounced ahh-me), launched her debut single, Ndikhethe Wena, this past Friday on a high note.
Known to have blown away all four judges on The Voice SA last year, Ami Faku has lived up to expectations and is currently blowing away listeners on radio stations across the country with her debut offering.
Since it’s debut on Friday, Ami Faku’s Ndikhethe Wena has been playlisted by 18 radio stations including the likes of Metro FM, Capricorn FM, Power FM, Tru FM, North West FM, UJ FM and Thobela FM just to name a few.
Ndikhethe Wena is currently charting on the North West FM Top 40 Chart and the cover artwork is featured on the landing page of JOOX SA.
“The song is about being completely in love and not being bothered by the negativity that relationships are associated with. Sometimes as people we need to realise how precious relationships are. This person chose you out of all the people in the world, that’s special,” explains Ami Faku.
