CELLCGIRL REACHES 9.7 MILLION LEARNERS IN ITS FIRST YEAR

Cell C’s online platform, CellCgirl, reaches 9.7 million learners across all platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Search and Display channels) in its first year.
“When we launched this platform, we envisioned a practical resource that supports a girl’s personal journey through school and life that will help prepare her for future success,” says Cell C’s Chief Human Capital Development and Transformation Officer Juliet Mhango.
The platform has without doubt achieved that and much more. CellCgirl connects young women between 14 and 24. It provides access to educational resources, economic and employment opportunities.
With just a year under its belt, CellCgirl has attracted 157 000 users (99% of whom are new users, 76% of whom are female) and served 204,000 sessions.
“All of us at Cell C are incredibly proud of what has been accomplished with the CellCgirl website in its first year,” says Mhango.
The CV Builder Page alone has had over 123 000 visitors and has been used to create over 8 500 CV, which have been saved 160 000 times indicates users are saving their CV on CellCgirl plus editing and updating it regularly. Users have downloaded 24 000 resources and 1 350 AskCellCgirl questions have been received.
