A wellness and fitness manager by profession, Wandi Mzembe says there is no magical pill to the ideal summer body.
Currently operating at Planet Fitness, Wandi let us in on what works, when you want to get in shape.
Step 1: A meal plan that is easy to follow. NB: 5-6 Meals in small portions
Step 2: Consistency and Dedication
Step 3: Choose supplements that your body reacts to, positively
Step 4: Exercise (Also perfect at home)
Squats – You can never go wrong with these
Lunges – Good for the lower body
Crunches – Everybody loves abs
Push-Ups – Awesome full upper body workout
Jump Rope – Great for cardio
In terms of appropriate gym gear, Wandi might be an Adidas fanatic but suggested that each person should make their choice.
Her entry into the fitness industry dates back to as far as she could walk, “I love the industry, what it is all about, I am a people’s person s my personality fits right in my work, “she said.
Wandi added that, “because different bodies react differently, one should not focus too much on the scale”. Gradual weight loss takes precedent over instant results. For every kg that you lose, there are less chances of gaining it back. So take it one month at a time”.
