Nompumelelo Ndlovu better known as Helicopter has been a long time lover of maskandi music since the tender age. Growing up in Hammersdale, she has witnessed and been a part of the traditional dance group.

In 2013, Helicopter bagged her first radio job and started as a newsreader, at Itheku FM. Helicopter has not stopped proving herself. Today, Helicopter’s passion for Maskandi music has been evident in her career as an MC and presenter.

Catch her Unique melodious voice on 1KZNtv, Ugubhu Lwami, a maskandi show that plays a tremendous role in developing local artists. Ugubhu Lwami won Best Traditional tv show last year at the SATMA Awards.
