INTEGRATION OF TRADITIONAL MUSIC SEMINAR.

The music business is one of the most rapidly changing industries worldwide and there are many talented people who make music daily, but they gain nothing from their music because making music and making a living from your music are not the same thing. Through integration of traditional music seminar hosted by Manqoba Msimnango and Mlungisi Bhengu on the 04th of May 2019 at Downtown studios, Maskandi artist got an opportunity to learn more about how to make a living from music.
The aim of the seminar was to educate maskandi artist about how to use the social media effectively and selling music on digital stores, making money through feature FM and Youtube channels.
Charma Maluleke, Creative Director of MADE2FLY creative media and design agency said “Your personal brand is reflected in the content you create and share. Social media is undoubtedly the best way to grow your fanbase and build up your brand.”
Although the turnout was disappointing many who attended requested more of these seminars. Ngiga Ndlovu said “The seminar exceeded my expectations, I did not only learn about digital platforms but also how to get sponsors. I would enthusiastically recommend this seminar to my fellow singers.
