Kadaf-“Best Newcomer And Song Of The Year Is What I Am Gunning For “
Music sensation, Kadaf (real name Mbongeni) finally opened up the making of his hit single, AMA-BBW, produced by DJ Sbu Wako Tsakani.
In an exclusive interview with Gauteng Lifestyle, the Bold Hearts Records signed artist revealed that his single, AMA-BBW is deliberately made to be international market.
‘’Unlike Mandoza’s Nkalakatha or Marharimba’s Sister Bettina and Master KG’s Jerusalaema who surprisingly surpassed all expectations, my single AMA –BBW was deliberately made for the world from the get go. So I am not surprised or shocked by the good reception the song is received. Bruno, Bold Hearts Records team and myself planned each and every little or big strides other people might be seeing right now. ’’ said Kadaf.
Kadaf also told Gauteng Lifestyle Magazine that he cannot wait for 2021 South African Awards where he will take both best newcomer and best song of the year awards.
While expressing his gratitude to radio stations, club DJ’s and everyone who has been playing his song, the flamboyant Soweto pleaded with his fans not just groove to the song well packaged beats but also try to practice what the song is preaching, which is fighting gender based violence in Africa and all over the world.
“I know the song is capable of inspiriting everyone to get to the dance floor and lose themselves into good mode AMA-BBW good beat but my wish is that my fans should also take a bit of time to listen to what the message is preaching and ultimately put that into practice and that is defeat gender based violence in our continent and the world.’’
Besides being involved in music, Kadaf is also using his brand influence to be endorse various social justice projects. That explains why he is one of the headline brands behind anti gender based violence campaign called #ActNow. DJ Sbu, Gugu Khathi, DJ Fresh, Khanyi Mbau, Jackie Phamotse, Shudufhadzo Musida and other senior government officials like Minister Lindiwe Zulu, Minister Lomola are some of the prominent public figures that are part of #ActNow.
