Marrakesh is destination #308 for Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines has launched regular flights between Istanbul and Marrakesh.
The historic ‘Crimson City’ in the foothills of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains becomes the 308th airport serviced by Turkish Airlines in 124 countries – the biggest network in the world. Marrakesh is the 56th African destination serviced by Turkish Airlines, which is also more than any other airline. The route is operated five days a week.
Marrakesh is the second destination added by Turkish Airlines this month, following the recent inauguration of a daily service to Sharjah in the UAE.
South African passengers can connect to these new destinations with daily Turkish Airlines flights between Johannesburg and Istanbul, and five flights a week from Cape Town and three flights a week from Durban.
Turkish Airlines last week completed the relocation from Atatürk Istanbul Airport, its historic home for 86 years, to the new Istanbul Airport which, ultimately, will be the biggest in the world with a capacity of 200m passengers a year via six runways, four terminals and 233 aircraft parking positions.
