Maskandi queen visits SouthWest Media College.

A random act of kindness can make a huge difference to someone’s life, there is a saying that says “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” Karin Kedem carry out this precept since she came to South Africa in 2015. On the 2nd of April 2019 Karin visited South West Media College in Braamfontein, Johannesburg where she spent time motivating and educating the learners about media industry.
Early this year Karin’s charity project started to pay for Sibongiseni Langa’s college tuition, which led to a good relationship with the director of the college Mr Gerald Tarimo. Therefore when she came to S.A this year it was no surprise that she chose South West Media College. Karin is constantly encouraging her fans to stay in school and complete their education. She recorded a song with Jaiva Zimnike that encourages youth to study.
SWMC was founded by Gerald Tarimo with the purpose of transforming the black child’s dream in making it in the music industry. They provide innovative, educational environments, opportunities and experiences that enable individuals, communities and the region to enhance themselves and promote their full potentials.
Many black talented musicians were never exposed to music school therefore their talent was wasted. It is important for a child to develop his/her talent, SouthWest Media college gives an opportunity to talented individuals to develop their music talent and be able to get professional recognition within the media industry.
