Mdineka’s Biography ( Maskandi Artist)
There is a saying that says“Talent will get you to the door, but character will keep you in the room.” We all have unique talents, and that is what makes each one of us special. Mdineka has an absolutely amazing voice, powerful voice for his age. His guitarist skills are excellent but above his skills and talent his humble character has worked in his favour.
Born: December 12, 1998 – eMsinga, Kwa-Zulu Natal
The remarkable Msinga born guitarist, Sithembiso Allen Dlamini, was born in Ekhabeni, kwa Kopi at Ndungamanzi area, to Ndabazabantu Cellber Dlamini, and Lindiwe Maphumulo. Sithembiso Dlamini 20, started realising his musical abilities at the age of 15, playing guitarist. Coming from a family of musicians, he realised his deep love of music would only be satisfied by pursuing a Maskandi music career.
The ambitious young singer used to accompany his brother Sicebi Dlamini better known as Inkosiyamagcokama to Amashinga Record studios, where he met with Thamsanqa Sibiya the founder and owner of the studio.
Thamsanqa Sibiya offered Sithembiso a recording contract in 2018, and the same year he decided on stage name UMdinekar and he released his debut album; uMAFIKIZOLO. Despite being new in the music scene this album made an impressive debut on youtube.The album also featured Inkosiyamagcokama and Iphakadelihle. December 2018 uMdineka released a single titled NGISAMANGELE.
Mdineka has been featured on Igolide’s track Incwadi. His subsequent feature on Unyakazisa track Ebumnandini earned him followers on social media. Again he was approached by Abakithi to feature on track called “Mama Kukhona into oyenzayo” .
uMdineka has participated in and various concerts and actively takes part in radio and television interviews. He performs a lot on Maskandi promotions and cd launch around Gauteng. His interview with Ugubhu Lwami on 1KZN tv is going to be broadcasted on the 18th of April 2019, from 18:00-19:00pm.
Mdineka’s second album is going to be released in April 2019, He has worked with Ngigakamahlalela Ndlovu, Inkosiyamagcokama and Songqongqo.
