Navigator Gcwensa, Education And Talent Go Hand In Hand.

Education is an important medium of acquiring essential knowledge and skills. Our world is constantly changing and developing so it is very important to teach and bring up intelligent people who can understand the problems of modern society and solve them in a proper way. Lindokuhle Sithembiso Gcwensa popularly known as Navigator is a young educated Maskandi artist. Navigator was born in Ongoye, Kwa-Zulu Natal. He attended Sibambisene Primary school and completed his matric at Sibhakuza High School in 2012.

He began singing at a young age and soon after started writing songs for people. When he matriculated, he moved to Pretoria to pursue his Biokinetics studies. While performing at Tswane University of Technology cultural event he was discovered by Ndukwana Record label. Since signing with Ndukwana Records, Navigator has sold thousands of CDs, had his songs played on national radio stations.Navigator released his first full-length studio Album, ISIMILO SENTOMBI in July 2017. It contained few hit tracks Emlanjeni, Epitoli and I am Sorry.

Following his debut album and promotional tours, he released his controversial second album titled “DEAR NSUMPA”. This album was well received and brought him lot of attention. Gcwensa has won SAVA awards and performed in big stage with legendary artist at Impucuzeko and Khuphuka Nezakho Maskandi Festival. He believes that education is playing a vital role in his successful music career.

Education and talent go hand in hand,talent on its own can not sustain an artist, things happen celebrities who were once worth millions can go broke. He thinks it is important for an Maskandi singer to be aware of his brand, marketing and logistics. Navigator say’s Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life.
