Rescued By Depression, Written By Ayanda Mavundla to Be Launched On June 2, 2018
Is a book written by Ayanda Mavundla, that talks about Oppression, Depression and Ambition from one’s personal experience touching more on behaviors such as bullying and rejection.
I write this book for the black child who’s been told that depression is for white people, and for the parent who has neglected their child who is suffering from depression. I dedicate it to the dear child who has been bullied and has remained silent and for the parents who never noticed something was wrong. This book is for the survivors who have been down the road and for the ignorant who think they are doing just fine. This is for those whose self-esteem has been damaged and who are still recovering.
Recovery is a work in progress. Some days are great and running and some are mellow. In the end, it will make sense. Let us keep going.
