Ring in the New Year at Sun City!
Celebrate beginnings and endings with no less than six parties unfolding across Sun City Resort this New Year’s Eve. Whether you choose to kick-up the sand till dawn with a beach party; dance into the New Year at a foot-stomping DJs bash; or enjoy an opulent dinner dance at The Palace; Sun City guarantees guests memorable memories as they countdown to 2019.

On the beach at the Valley of Waves, DJ Jazzy D and resort favourites Clinton & Friends will entertain revelers from 20h00 onwards. At midnight there will be a breathtaking fireworks display to mark the start of 2019. Entrance is free but exclusive to resort hotel and Sun Vacation Club residents.
Day visitors need not to despair. At 20h00 legendary DJ Dino Bravo leads the charge to 2019 alongside resident DJ, DJ Jaysuu, at the New Year’s Eve bash at Vibes and Encore located at the heart of the resort’s “always on”, Vegas-style party zone, Soho hotel. Formerly the Sun City Hotel, Soho encapsulates the essence of the renowned Soho destinations located in London and New York which are known for their eclectic vibe and non-stop action. Entrance is R350 per person. No under 18s will be permitted.
At The Shebeen, three of Jozi’s hottest female vocalists making up the trio, Lady Lace, will entertain guests with a wide repertoire of cover songs and some of their own material from 20h00 onwards. DJ Choco will also be on the decks during the evening. The Shebeen offers a rustic, laidback setting as well as an enticing menu of South African-styled pub food, cocktails and beers. Entrance on New Year’s Eve is R200 per person and includes a glass of sparkling wine on arrival.
Guests can also book dinner at Sun Terrace, situated at Soho hotel, and experience an array of South African dishes, with a selection of succulent braai meats, potjies, curries and other scrumptious treats. Dinner will be served from 18h00 and there will be entertainment throughout the evening. Children are welcome. The cost per head is R420 per adult and R150 per child under 12.
For the more discerning holidaymakers, The Palace presents a lavish dinner in the Elephant Atrium, complete with live entertainment by the band, Entourage. Starting at 19h30, the party will continue until 01h00. The cost is R1950 per adult and R975 per child under 12 years old. At Sun City, we create memorable moments for the whole family, so we also have a special programme for younger guests. Kamp Kwena will be hosting a New Year’s Eve bash at The Crater, located in the entertainment hub, Sun Central. The party is suitable for children aged 5 to 12. The festivities include dinner and all the entertainment you can possibly imagine. Booking is essential, and children must be registered at Kamp Kwena to attend the New Year’s Eve Bash.
