Sun City voted best place to get away.
Sun International’s North West Province resort, Sun City, has stacked up two reader’s choice awards for 2018. The resort won the Best Weekend Getaway Award in the well established Best of Joburg Readers’ Choice Awards as well as the Best Weekend Getaway to Regenerate Yourself in the annual Best of Ekurhuleni Readers’ Choice Awards.
Both award platforms are respected barometers of what’s hot & trending according to people in Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni. Readers of Caxton newspapers are called to vote for their favourite places in various categories and each year hundreds of thousands of submissions are received from the public.
Commenting on the awards, Thapelo Modise, the Marketing Manager at Sun City says: “The fact that these awards are based on public votes is significant for us. After all, it is our customers and guests who are the lifeblood of our business.
“These two awards show that our resort is still one of the preferred weekend getaway destinations in South Africa after more than three decades. Certainly, Sun City is a sought-after destination for international tourists, but it is the loyalty of our local customers, who visit us time and again, that is the cornerstone of our success.
“Our sustainability is largely dependent on our ability to keep Sun City relevant, attractive and accessible to South Africans. These awards serve to inspire us to keep getting better at what we do and to keep giving our guests experiences that will live long in their hearts and memories.”
